Dr. Vasantha Gowri is an Ophthalmologist and Educationalist, a Philantropist who is keenly interested in welfare of children and women. As a practising Ophthalmologist, she has conducted innumerable eye screening camps and catered to more than 2 lakh students to detect vision problems in school going children. Her hospitals has also conducted more than 8000 low cost and free cataract surgeries to the economically backward people and needy. Keeping in mind the needs of the society. As a Doctorpreneur, also acting as the Founder of One Health Care, a health care solution to Educational Institutions and as the Director of Aadithya Eye Care and Jupiter Hospital, Perambur. An Ophthalmologist by profession and as the Correspondent for the group of schools, her passion is to create health awareness and reach out to as many school students and women as possible. She loves watching movies, reading books on Philosophy and listening to music. She also enjoys traveling and explore new places.

As an Educationalist, she has also acted as a resource specialist. She is the Member in Women Economic Forum, Indian Medical Association and All India Ophthalmological Society. Also, acting as the Headquarters Commissioner for Tamilnadu Bharat Scouts and Guides and holding the position of Vice Chair (Health & Wellness) in All Ladies League (ALL), Chennai Chapter. Recently she has been felicitated by His Excellency Honourable Governor of Tamilandu Shri. R. N. Ravi Sir for her work in Vision Health for School Children on the occasion of Women’s Day programme “Think to Dare” held at Raj Bhavan on 3rd March 2023, organized by Women’s League Foundation.
